  1. Hi Phil, Welcome to the forum! Try JD Narrow Boats, Shardlow, Derbyshire. They might have some space at their wharf for you to carry out the fitting out work. You might also want to consider a Boat Handling Course! Personally, I found it very useful indeed. Best of luck with whatever you decide!
  2. Hi there, Welcome to the forum! Give Darren or Andrew a call at JD Narrowboats, Shardlow, Derbyshire. They build economic wide beams and currently they have one in build... Definately worth a look! They do the complete build and fitout, to the Customers specification, and certainly provide good value for money. I had my cruiser stern built & fitted out by them.. First class work, at the right price! I hope that helps you in some way. Regards,

  4. Currently 68p per litre at JD Narrowboats (Dobsons Yard), They will let you declare your % split even if it is 100% !
  5. And for anyone that may have missed it and wanted to listen; You and Yours!
  6. Hi Matty, If your friend calls Darron Howell at JD Narrowboats of Shardlow (formerly Stone) they will carry out the work very quickly, I have just spoken to Darron and he is happy to call over to Aston Marina next week! They are experienced in fitting all types of heating including Squirrel stoves. I hope that helps your friend! Regards,
  7. Hello there Jude! I was over at Shardlow yesterday, I saw your boat in the water and the chap was there applying the spray foam, your boat looks very impressive moored alongside mine which is back for some additional work including a bookcase and some more shelving. Darron was telling me that they have an order book that is full until April 2010!! That certainly doesn't appear to be how the boatbuilding industry is doing as a whole at the moment.
  8. Hi Phil, Try This, Click here! Hope you can find it there.
  9. I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this request, if it isn't I'm sure one of the Mods will be able to move it. I've had the following message and thought that maybe there may be help available through our members here. I will be on the T&M by Friday, travelling from Brinklow to Shardlow. "Sue Williams, of the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust, for help with bow-hauling the historic narrowboats, Raymond and Nutfield, through Atherstone locks on Friday morning from 8am! They are on their way to the gathering, but only have a crew of three". Please contact Sue if you can help. Sue Williams, Secretary Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust Ltd. Norfolk House, 29 Hall Lane, Hammerwich, Staffs WS7 0JP Phone: 01543 671427 Mobile: 07968 168728
  10. Hi Mav, Take a look at this thread from another forum Clicky
  11. Well said Carl! And to those that blame Europe for EVERYTHING that is wrong here in the UK, think about this..."When you argue with reality, you lose - but only 100% of the time".
  12. Try contacting them through this Link,Floating Homes appear to be part of this group of "Companies" ! I hope that is of some use to you.

  14. I think they had the roof suspended on chains, they also used their forklift truck to hold the roof while they put the sides on. I agree, I felt it looks better in one transition rather than lots of zooming in/out, flipping and so on.
