  1. 1920's - temp railway for building houses
  2. I saw it in a charity shop yesterday, framed for about £16. Uttoxeter.
  3. The fort is my perfect home - well almost would need the cannons reinstated to keep people away. 😄
  4. Not sure if posted already
  5. "Canal half empty" type Mike? 😄
  6. Fair enough - it was the rear of the Viking that looked similar
  7. Here's a randon Viking, fat boat but similar rear/front. Just a suggestion.
  8. Wonder if it's a "Viking" made bote. Shells from Poland. Fitted in Essex IIRC.
  9. Richard Stilgoe (nice man) asked me if my Gardner was a steam engine when I was locking down Pyrford Lock
  10. Even the water supply companies do not own the water they charge for. You are paying them for treating it, dealing with it and distribution.
  11. Common Law - no-one in the UK "owns" water. Just same as no-one own the air.
  12. One may own the river bed but one does not own the water the boat floats on. Nor are the public/householders generally empowered like CaRT to manage the water course/levels. Just because the red line of ownership is NOT shown on the Title Plan in the river centre (only marked as the bank line), common law allows that the landowner owns to the centre of the river. Land boundries move with natual river realignments under the legal doctrine of accretion and diluvian - despite what the Title Plan shows, the river moves, the boundary moves. This makes some Title Plans look incorrect. And also may appear to show "unregistered land" which is in fact, not unregistered. Get legal advice from a specialist.
  13. We have a resident muscovey too here. Flew in and decided to stay. I can hand feed him. He's a lovely fellow. We call him Gerald (from Clarksons Farm) Here is a mink followed a few mins later by an otter here at Wood Farm. I have three otters together on film too. Ignore the date/time. The trap camera resets to default date when you change the batteries.
