  1. Ah yes, another real beauty http://www.norfolk-broads.com/boats/boatinfo.php?boat=3
  2. Fuzzy, the boat in the top picture is 'ZOE' I believe she is the oldest hire boat on the broads. Carole and I rented her for a week in 2008 http://www.norfolk-broads.com/boats/boatinfo.php?boat=4 spent most of the week on the Northern broads .......fabulous.
  3. Looked like a brilliant time was had by all...........can't wait .

  6. Back along the road towards Potter, Xroads (where the post office used to be) turn right and you go to Martham, turn left the road goes thru a big S bend then straight for 150 yds to the church, the rectory is on the right, set back a bit, where the bungalows are on the right was our drive way and play area....
  7. Around about 1957 I lived at The Old Rectory in Rollesby, went to the primary school, my dad played cricket (badly) for the village team. We loved it when my grandad came to visit in the autumn, he would help us 'scrump' the peas off the tractor and trailers as they slowed down at the junction by the church. Norfolk.......
  8. A launch for the day shouldn't be a problem at Potter Heigham. As you like waterways you could take a cruise thru what is arguably the the most picturesque part of the Norfolk Broads. From 'Potter' head up onto Heigham Sound, Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere. Fabulous. See Google maps.

  10. 'use any electricity generator, including the Boat's engine, at any mooring along the Waterway between 8pm and 8am, unless you are moored in isolation, out of earshot of other people. ' A little research turned up the above...........Thank you. But not quite such a 'hard and fast' rule
  11. You make that sound like a law of the land...................
  12. Is it ready yet............ is it.....well, is it.
  13. What an interesting thread and written in words of one syllable I think I can understand However, if there is no registered owners 'papers' what documentation would the solicitor have to prove the boat belonged to a relative. If such 'papers' exsist why don't you all have them. Curious only.........not intending to open a 'tin of worms'

  15. Clearly the stove was not installed properly.................Is there a legal obligation for the BB to fit the stove in a manner that makes it safe to use. If so, for how long does the fitting have to remain safe......
  16. At this time of the year a 'loony' goose will nearly always have a nest close by. They will protect the nest and goslings with their lives if needed. I fished on a lake one time that had several pairs of Canada geese nesting around the waters edge. Walking the lake was an assault course only acheived if I went heavily armed (big stick) until a friend advised me to dump the stick, not to make eye contact with the geese and walk past briskly and confidently. Now this takes courage and a lot of faith but works a treat. The goose will hiss and threaten but but not attack. Well, they no longer attacked me Let us all know how you get on
  17. I'm sure that it would help those who are on the cut and are prepared to look to know from where and when your baby was 'halfinched'
