Tryyusing WD40 it works wonders for anything sticky, and is good for claening all oils from serfices , makes re-sealing much easier too

for give me my ignorance, when i eventually move onto my new home somwhere along the line, i intend to cruise for 2-3yrs , how do i get on if the narrowbaot is my permanent home, how do i register for ie mobile phone contracts, how do i register my pensions, banking as a change of address etc, forgive me if im comming across as a bit dim **the light is on and i am home honest

I am a single 55yr old man and am looking to move onto a liveaboard narrow boat, as i shall be doing this in aproxamatly 18months -2yrs time i am seriously looking now, can anyone give me some advice ie whats the diference with a flat bottom and a v shaped the advantages and disadvantages. I intend to travel the waterways for 2-3 yrs to start with, advice on moorings, licences. places to avoid. how easy to use locks single handed. and so on . many thanks David
