  1. Richard is correct, it is the responsibility of the local Primary Care Trust to find a GP for its residents. The school nurse should know where their HQ is as she probably works for them. Regards Graham S nb workinginthehealthservice
  2. I have been down the Witham through Antons Gowt?? and onto the Navigable Drains into Boston and moored opposite the 5 sail windmill. Done in July about 10 years ago no weed then. Regards Graham S was in Cruiser Gralyn.
  3. Yes that should be expected but not by as much
  4. I have been on the MSC in a 25 ft cruiser with an outboard motor and the surveyor who examined it for the certificate required by MSC never mentioned an alternative method of propulsion or saw a paddle on the boat, as I dont have one.

You aught to see the mess they will make if one ever gets inside your boat!
  6. Am I being naive - but I feel that the regular increase has spread the income extected from 147 % increase for continuous cruisers across the rest of us.
  7. And wooden / plywood cruisers sink once the Ice that you force into their hulls melt
  8. But he didn' t moor his boat in Nottingham!

  10. So does anyone have any recent experience of turning in the Flashes above the Red Lion? We went into the flash last September when the water levels were down. We got past the moorings and winded then moved into the main flash backwards, the theory being as soon as we toutched the bottom a quick retreat in foreward would work . It did. We have been right into the main flash with normal water levels with a 40 ft narrowboat My advise --- give it a try.
  11. I only isolate the batteries on leaving the boat, on its home moorings, after a cruise. During the crusie the batteries stay connected to the boat system to keep the Fridge running. Graham.
  12. I kept all the plaques that I had when transfering from a cruiser to a narrowboat and only put them on the new boat when I visit the places represented by the plaque.
  13. Simon Watch out for us as you come up the non tidal Thames NB GRALYN setting out from High lane on the Macc on 1 July to Windsor via Braunston and Oxford

  15. [i have a theory which anyone can challenge..that boats are cheaper the further north you go.! I moor on the Macc and it is the impression that boats will realise more if taken south for sale
  16. I would nominate Selby on the Yorkshire Ouse. Like Keadby on the Trent you have to pass the lock and breast the flow of the river to get in.
