  8. When I tested my Webasto Top C a few weeks ago it went for a little while then stopped. It turned out to be a very small blockage or air lock after the inline filter. I blew it out and it went fine... seems that the smallest of airlocks/blockages cause it issue? I didnt see any real noticeable change in the amount of fuel getting through but it certainly was happier after that. Forgot to say whenever i clean the fuel filter the airlock comes back so have to repeat... if you've fitting a filter or serviced it recently this might be the issue?
  9. We had similar problems. Had to remove the sensor from the tank and clean it... sounds horrible, but wasn't too bad.... had a build up of crystals on slider (didnt want to dwell too much what it was but assume its similar to a prostate problem?). Manually use a ohmeter to check the resistance as you move the float up and down and the resistance should change.
  10. Sounds great... is this a cobbled together solution or did you buy it?

  14. If you move your boat and hit/damage another boat however it is moored (legally or otherwise) then you'll be liable surely? Frustrating as it is!

  18. Yes, so many businesses now use Covid as an excuse for poor service. I cant remember so many companies having a answerphone immediately 'due to unprecedented demand' my call, although important to them, will be ignored for quite a while....
  19. Shared a lock with a CC'er and asked over the 6 six years what he would change on his boat. He said the flexible solar panels were awful and were put on when his boat was built (Aintree). They pushed for flexible panels as he felt they thought it made their boat look good. He replaced with rigid and now enjoys more power and they'll last longer.....
  20. Sat in lots of locks today and looking back as the big gates with all that water behind... do they every fail in a catastrophic way - tsunami type? just one of those things i think about......!
  21. Calcutt have a few DIY boat areas that are covered...
