  5. I had my 2004 Liverpool boat surveyed last year and had lost 0.8mm in one small pit but overall the average loss was miminal.
  6. Just popped down to the lock, spoke to the owner and he said they hit something going in to the lock, bloody great bang and the boat went down by the stern in 90 seconds, I suspect somethings to do with the prop shaft or the weed hatch. No sight of the crt or canal rescue bods Every one got out safely,at least that's a blessing.
  7. You could try this, Remove the lower panel on the front of the invertor( 2 cross head screws). Press the reset button, back left Flick the charge, off & on switch several times and see what happens. The result won't be instant it will take a few moments. This invertor is a good one so keep trying

  17. OR get a boat with a nice air cooled Lister HA2 in a proper engine room, and use the engine room for clothes drying. Disconnect the air duct to outside to convert the whole engine room into a tumble dryer! Now,that I like!full of character.but herself wants to use the space for other things. Water consumption is not that much of an issue, but just to bear in mind.the inverter can draw up to 5kw but we are still struggling to find an all in one washer/dryer unit.
  18. Sonning is ok free upstream from the lock, and a tenner a night downstream from the bridge( donated to charity)
