  1. And now there is a crowdfunding appeal to help Djembe Dave! https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/david-booth-2?utm_id=106&utm_term=ERBm9mqjr
  2. Why don't you read all the posts, particularly the one I pointed out to you before? As a reminder it was post number 15, and it says the boat has a HOLE in it. Now I suggest you look at the rules of this Forum. I suspect that is a foregone conclusion!
  3. Which wouldn't stop them getting hot and vapourising! Wear thicker socks and better slippers.
  4. 1/ See post #15 above!! 2/ If he doesn't cure 1 he will sink again!! 3/ Surely his first priority is 1, above? Perhaps you need to read before sniping and criticising people here!
  5. Currently BTP are pursuing about half a dozen incidents of drone use on or near railways, and there have now been 2 cases where trains have been hit by drones. BTP now regularly check YouTube, Twitter and the Drone forums for evidence, so well done for sharing it Mr Payne.
  6. I presume therefore that you are happy to condone illegal acts? I suggest you read the Regulations.
  7. I hope he had permission from Network Rail to overfly the tracks.
  8. Knots: http://www.johnstonestrade.com/products/product-display/knotting-solution Peeling paint: Did you prime it first?
  9. Indeed. You can also explore further beyond, on trips organised by Corris Mine Explorers. http://www.corrismineexplorers.co.uk/
  10. Crown Prosecution Service are not the only body who can raise criminal prosecutions. Try train operators for an example.
  11. Photo Album of "Coffin Levels" http://www.aditnow.co.uk/Photos/Lightbox/Coffin-Levels_87/
  12. Agreed Nigel, but I don't think "Phil" realises just what the Magistrates look at when a case is brought in front of them.
  13. Only if the Magistrates are made aware of it. If the accused does not attend Court then there would be no one to do that. Result = accused found guilty
  14. From the description of Gelli Las as a "coffin level to drain" the lode of another seam I would be very doubtful about them using boats at that mine. The pictures of the tunnel only show a narrow adit. Most of the mines in this area were small and limited in both output and longevity, and often had windles in the middle of passages, down to deeper levels. Not conducive to boat use.
  15. Interesting. The only Gelli Mine I can find in Ceredigion is the Gelli Las Level, and I would be very surprised if that had an underground canal. http://www.aditnow.co.uk/Mines/Gelli-Las-Lead-Mine_20252/#location Agreed about Nantymwyn though. http://www.aditnow.co.uk/Mines/Nantymwyn-Lead-Mine_4295/
  16. The Nantes-Brest Canal seems to be popular with cyclists whenever we are over in Brittany
  17. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.

  19. Agreed Andy, but it seems like there are a few people who are out to cause as much "trouble" as possible, especially f the name mentioned over on Thunderboat in a discussion about this case is the one involved.
  20. I suggest we all stop feeding the troll, because s/he is doing nothing but purposely being obtuse.
  21. Therefore you boat is in an area of water that is connected to, and supplied with water, by a CANAL. Why do you have a boat? It is relevant because most tax payers have no interest in the canal system but still have to contribute towards it's finances. I'm also beginning to wonder whose "clone" you are!
  22. I suggest that you look at the finances of CaRT. The "upkeep of the canals" is already "funded by non-users" because it receives a grant from Government taxation, so everyone tax payer contributes.
  23. I shall ask again; why do you have a boat on the canals?
  24. Actually I think it makes YOU the freeloader. Your marina requires you to have a licence, but you don't think it applies to you. I wonder why you bought a boat?
