well guys it needs something as it looks dull and depressing to me ..when it was first done i think it only had one coat of varnish ...at the time it looked good to me plus i had to have the boat at a certain time ...thinking i will give it some more coats ...later on ..four years later on lol but thank you so much for the input great as usual ...

hi all .not that i am stingy .but just had quote on having the inside of the boat decorated ...looking at it im sure i could do this myself with a little help from my friends here at canalworld ...i use to do all the decor when we had the house and that if i say so myself turned out pretty good,but a boat , thats a wee bit different .....my boat as teak panels with solid oak surround .i have been told to lightly sandpaper the panels as to not take the grain away ...but with the solid oak use leckie sander ...would i be right in doing this ...all info on doing this job would be very much appreciated..better still if anyone would like to do this for me free food and moorings for a couple of weeks lol

hi guys ..as much as i would like to spend my time on here mike things have got to be done ..lol and as for who serviced my aldi ...it was done by a very nice guy called kevin from anglo welsh ..top man .and you where right mr payne ...i was told there was no need to have it on number 7 as 5 will do the same trick ..if anyone wants kevs number pm me ...and for those who dont or can not understand what i write .dont worry about it ...i use too but i dont anymore ...my psychiatrist said there are worst things to worry about in life then that ...we are not all blessed with perfik vocabulary

it had not been serviced for about 4 years ..all parts were checked out.. jets unblocked ,before it was done when it was set on no7 the rads were very hot to the touch ...after service the rads were hot to the touch on no4 ...so it must have been worth while ...

for those who maybe interested ...last week i had my aldi comfort serviced ..and i got to say what a big difference it has made heating wise ...where i use to have it turned to no7 i no longer have to do that no4 will do ..

i was being dare i say it a bit sarcastic ...just get a bit fed up about how boat owners get it in the neck about how they use there boats ...if they use it twice a week once a month .what does that have to do with anyone ...its there boat ...

the op asked how much gas do you use ? but dont answer this if you only use your boat twice a week or only in the summer ...for those who do this dont you now you are suppose to live on them 24/7

if i remember i used 30/35 bags of blaze from bm stores .but also used logs ..but all the old hands out there , now there is an art to making a fire last for ever and i take my hat of too you all ,i thought a fire was fire ..but have learnt thats not the case ..sometimes i get it right most times not .i have got to the stage of getting the fire to stay in all night ...where its not uncomfortably to hot and believe me thats an art in its self ...someone asked me if i ever do an upside down fire ...i thought here we go no such thing ,,but there is ...answers on a postcard please

i use blaze smokeless £ 3,99 ,,10 kg from bm stores now i have had the central heating serviced and i can get gas cheap i am going to see if that works for us this winter

in the galley.i have three 8 watt tube lights 12 inch long all three died at the same time ,,and ideas of what to replace them with ..the 8 watt where a bit dull .i know some will say .up the watts ,what white lights are best do you think

i agree with the captain .there are some that sit back ,,but very few .most help out, and yes give me a hirer any time ..but to be fair when myself and mister do locks it is nice to get a little help ..but in all fairness we are just as happy doing them ourselfs .i have seen some right carry ons ,how many of of you heard which way you going ..you coming in .you going out ...endless
