I had a wooden top for years in fact lived on her for 6 years i loved it less condensation and warmer. Can only say same as others have a good survey on the hull as antthing on the cabin you can fix. In her earlier days she must have been neglected and water must have been sitting on the bottom of the cabin where it meets the gunnells and sadly the gunnells rusted through. So if the steels ok it would sound good to me. Must admit though we had a sailaway built 2 year ago and we didn't ask for a wood cabin haha. But we didnt lose a penny on our wood cabin boat we got the same as we paid for her years before. Good luck Bren
Crime figures may be down but i cannot believe crime is down most crimes are not reported any more cos nothing is done if you do sad but thats how it is. Bren
I have the same set up in mine our boatyard recently blacked the bottom for us when he drove it into the dry dock he didnt like the clonk it makes putting it in gear and said I have a serious problem with it and thought my drive plate was damaged I rang Vetus dealership who sent someone out to it they do however say this noise is normal and nothing wrong with it. However my boatyard is not really convinced of this but I have no choice but to believe Vetus and hope theyre right as my gaurentee runs out next January, if I had known what I know now I would not have gone for this setup. Brenda
