  1. I was fortunate to be able to purchase a new 57ft Minilux Barge from Sagar Marine in 2002. It was a great experience dealing with all of the staff at Sagar Marine. Their Barge design was absolutely first class and we had six years living the dream in France. To my mind it is typical of the way that this business was run that Jonathan should himself make the announcement on this forum, and I wish to take this opportunity to wish him and all the staff of Sagar Marine all the best for the future. You may have hit hard times in the current economic conditions, but you can hold your heads up high, your legacy will carry on. Thank you Geoff May
  2. What a gorgeous beauty. Just screaming for a new caring owner to assist her into a long retirement life of leisure!
  3. Guess you guys were right. Have had no problems when I logged on this morning, no warning given, so all is OK again. Thanks once again for all your responses.
  4. Thanks for all your replies. McAfee does not appear to list the reason why it is reporting a warning. As others are not having problems I will just carry on as normal.
  5. When I signed into Apollo Duck this morning I had a site warning from McAfee. Have any members had any experience of trouble with virus attacks relating to this site? This would appear to be a new development as I have not received the warning in the past.
  6. Having just read this entire thread may I offer my sincere thanks to all the contributors.
  7. Dongles are all well and good if you can get a signal. However as has been shown by BBC research into this subject 3G coverage is far from being anywhere near what the service providers claim. We can't even get 2G where I live and only 2G is available where I moor my boat!
  8. Has anyone any knowledge of using this vinyl wrap technique on the inside of a boat, say to cover a damaged plywood panel. Or perhaps to change the colour or appearance of an existing veneer finish?
  9. Well done BW for prompt clearance. My heart goes out to the owners though. There but for the grace ..............
  10. My Boat is suffering from neglect whilst waiting for Phylis, though I see she is pontificating about Bridge operation elsewhere on this Forum.
  11. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  12. Never heard of the Polyestermite then?
  13. Thanks folks for an interesting and valuable thread.
  14. Could you email me details of hiring your boat please?
  15. Hi Mark I do not think that you will have any difficulty on the Severn above Gloucester, however the entrance to Gloucester Lock can be a bit tricky especially if there is a bit of fresh on. It is also useful to have VHF radio coms with the lock keeper as you approach. The main difficulty is if you have to wait for entry into the lock as you need to grab hold of hanging chains from the river wall. As far as passage down the Severn below Sharpness is concerned, this is definitely NOT for the single handed. The river is extremely fast and tidal and a thorough knowledge of the River and Estuary are required. I would counsel organizing pilotage for this part of the journey as well as up the River Avon to Bristol. Regards Geoff
