Chris3
Want to adjust / repack the boat stern tube but have no suitable spanner and can't find where to buy one. Ebay has suggestions but they are listed as shock absorber adjusters. Any ideas ? Many thanks in advance.

No mention of shock absorbers! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181531896987?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Ray T
Cromwell Tools have loads: https://www.cromwell.co.uk/index.php?search_all=C+spanner&p=advancedsearch&q=0 Not cheap, but then good tools never are. IMHO. If your gland stern tube is as I think a round nose pin C spanner may be preferable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beta-Tools-99ST-35mm-50mm-Hook-Wrench-C-Spanner-with-Round-Nose-Pin-/290614103433 Edited August 1, 2015 by Ray T
DHutch
Assuming it's about the right size and or adjustable while would the fact the listing mentioned shocks be an issue? Daniel
Geoff Taylor
Hi, the most common use for a "C" spanner is to adjust motorcycle shock absorbers and water pump gland nuts or anything else with notches instead of hexagon style nuts, you may need two of these if the fitting has a locking ring in order to stop them spinning together. Chris3
Thanks for all the replies. Have you tried your spanner , Mike ? Did it come from China ?
Machpoint005
The Chinese are making some good tools, as well as some decidedly below average, these days, so that's not really the right question!
Chris3
No, I was wondering about delivery time, import duty etc ?
