Want to adjust / repack the boat stern tube but have no suitable spanner and can't find where to buy one. Ebay has suggestions but they are listed as shock absorber adjusters. Any ideas ?

Many thanks in advance.

I don't think you are searching ebay very thoroughly. I bought one of these the other day. No mention of shock absorbers!

Cromwell Tools have loads:

Not cheap, but then good tools never are. IMHO.

If your gland stern tube is as I think a round nose pin C spanner may be preferable:

Hi, the most common use for a "C" spanner is to adjust motorcycle shock absorbers and water pump gland nuts or anything else with notches instead of hexagon style nuts, you may need two of these if the fitting has a locking ring in order to stop them spinning together.
