Chandlery in Wigan - Chorley area

Just on my way from Kendal down to Wigan to do a bit of volunteering till I find a boat.

 

Need to buy a few tools and a life jacket etc.

 

Anyone know a good chandlery in that area? (and canal side caravan park if possible)

I believe they closed the chandlery there. Not 100% sure but worth phoning first.

For info, the chandlery at White Bear marina (Adlington on the L/L) is closing at the end of this month (March). The marina is un-affected, it is just the chandlery that is closing. (At the mo, they have a 15% discount offer running)

White bear chandlery is definately shut down.. Was there only a couple of weeks ago!

Preston docks / marina has a chandlery. It's as expensive as most

 

I usually call in at kings lock middlewich when passing J18 of M6

 

Fleabay might be a better option

Yes it's looking like Fleabay may be easier just that I'm not home for a few weeks to pick up.

I'm up near bridgehouse marina at nateby, have some spare lifejackets and can possibly help you out with some tools depending on what you need?

I normally go to Thorn Marine at Stockton Heath or Midland Chandlers at Preston Brook - both 20-25 minutes from Wigan.
