Shipley water bus

Does any one know if the water bus still operates in the Shipley area. I cant find the time table so suspect it has stopped operating.

When we were last there the ice cream boat at Saltaire said it only ran on Bank Holiday weekends now.

Thanks for that info - should be able to more on the visitor mooring outside the Aldi then. It says not to moor if the water bus was due to arrive??

Thats what we did last week.

 

After, that is, pulling up on the bollards by the mill building only to see large 'NO OVERNIGHT MOORING' signs.

 

Yet another example of pillocks buying homes by a canal and then whinging about boats having the cheek to moor next to them?

I think I'm thinking the same as you.

 

There wasn't a timetable posted so, short of using a crystal ball, how are you supposed to know if the water bus is due to arrive?

The boat that ran the water bus service now runs as a 12 seat trip boat in Leeds, as Apollo Canal Cruisers that ran the water bus no longer operate.

According to the local lock keepers, it is years since the waterbus operated. It's just a case that no-one can be bothered to move the sign.
