One point from the film, have I bean mispronouncing bowhauling? I assumed it was bow as in the bow of the boat (or the male equivalent of curtsey), but the narrator pronounces it as bow as in bow tie.

 

I suppose maybe bow refers to the rope, rather than the bow of the boat?
