Agree with you Arthur. From somone who has seen it done it and posed for the T shirt! All but a small number of historic boat owners are up their own arses which is a real shame as there is nothing more satisfying then an historic boat with a period engine

Until last year I have been gas safe registered and can say without fear of contradiction , your installation is classed as immediately dangerous. True we can class historic minor faults as does not conform to today’s standards. However where there is a real risk to life we cannot. Installing a flue taking the emissions outside, as long as it passed a smoke test, spillage test would be such a case shaun

Hi all been awhile since I was last on. Now have the boat at audlem but am struggling to find a marina or boatyard that allows diy maintenance. I’m a little shocked at some of the outrageous prices I have been quoted for a paint job. Can any one recommend a yard that allows hard standing cheers shaun.
