Hi all.....we are all but done on our boat build with just over a week to go.

We are looking to put down some non slip tiles to the stern deck and wondered if anybody can recommend any interlocking tiles.....

We found these on eBay but wondered if there is anything better?

Problem with tiles is that they can trap mud/grit beneath them, and scratch the hell out of your paintwork. Much better to use something like Treadmaster sheets, cut to fit your deck area, leaving an inch or two around edges and between sections. Comes in a variety of colours, lasts for years and can be scrubbed to perfection. Bit costly, though.

Sorry, forgot to add, don't forget to use the Treadmaster two-pack adhesive. We have it on our front and back decks, it's been on for nine years and looks as good as new

Each to their preferences, however, some of the harder plastic interlocking tiles with hard spacer studs underneath will bite into your paintwork and do damage leading to rust.

This is exactly why I use Treadmaster, well glued in place!

The boat we've just bought has the Treadmaster type on the stern (cruiser) deck and the interlocking ones on the foredeck. I can see that both do the job but I worry about whether or not the water drains away properly from underneath the interlocking ones, particularly if they get clogged up with mud and grit.

Why the previous owners of our boat had the two different types I don't know, but it may have been because the foredeck is sheltered most of the time by the cratch cover perhaps?

I'm interested in opinions on this subject because the Treadmaster on the stern deck is a bit worn and has come adrift in places so I need to replace it.
