Pigeon Boxes

I took delivery this week of a pigeon box that was made to my requested dimensions by a member on here, Kedian.

 

I wanted to recommend his work to anyone who is looking for this type of item. The design is a good one with security and weatherproofing built in, the fit is ideal and the workmanship excellent, all at a very reasonable price - I'll be back for a dog box when the galley get a refit. He also offers side doors and hatches for retro-fitting.

 

I'll post some pics when it's painted.

Though I think I may be being led on here....

 

The pigeon box is the little pent roofed ventilator box with (usually) little round sky lights inset. They're mounted on the roof usually over the engine room (or where it would be if the boat were to have one e.g. on a rear engined semi trad)

 

Apparently a dog box is simply a bigger one.

You weren't being led on. I genuinely didn't know, and was interested. I am going to fit a storage box on my roof soon, and wondered if these were canal dwellers terms for some mind of storage box.
