robange
Hi, we have the opportunity to buy a 1972 Dartline 32ft cruiser stern for £6900. It has BSC till 2014, Lister SR2 hull blacked one year ago and new anodes, galley refitted with new cooker and water heater. New batteries and rewired, new wet room, needs finishing internally. The hull is steel with a fibreglass cabin, Is there anything I should look out for and is this a good buy for the price?

Check weedbox and lid for leakage and in and condition as they were very shallow with water level only a couple of inches or so below the brim. Nice fine bows that cut through the water nicely, but will almost certainly have a 1/4'' plate base plate so a survey is important. They also usually had some sliding windows that can leak badly. Its not by any chance called Silverdale?
Woodstock
Check the fibreglass for osmosis-it should feel rigid-any sponginess could be a problem. Sounds good though -hope its a good un for you
bottle
It has BSC till 2014 All that proves is that in 2010 when tested it passed, does not mean it would today. Remember BSC is only for equipment etc. on-board not the shell. Joint between steel and fibreglass, check those out for signs of leakage. Advice as always is to get your own survey done but that is up to you if you wish to take the chance.
