A Print of the canal in Nottingham?

This is a print of a picture by David Weston. It has the number 980 on the back and is named "Waterways Heritage"

 

Anyone know exactly where it is?

Without researching, I'd say Nottingham, and perhaps the buildings on the left may today house the museum there.

fairly sure its just below the lock, the building on the left still exists. the old FMC would be a 100 yards further on behind the big building.

sadly he is no longer with us - which certainly means that his artwork will now go up in value

right location derek but it appears that the building has in fact been torn down, the flats on the left in your link is where it stood.

as i said earlier i believe it was the building that has gone, to the left of your picture martin if i recall it was burnt out in the 80's so not surprising it is no longer there.

I don't know how much has changed since I took that, but it was in September 1988.
