Cheers all, This has got to be a problem with my home Virgin broadband. I'm on now using my 3 dongle in a USB port on my desktop PC and it's working just fine, as it does on my iPhone when using Orange 3G. If I use either my desktop or iPhone through my home broad band it is a PITA. Only this site though which is as I say weird... ETA - just found another web site that won't load either (York Duchess music venue) so it looks defo. like its down to Virgin somewhere. carlt
Or perhaps something to do with your browser? Could you expand on that, a bit, Richard? I've been using Opera, for the last few days because Chrome has been so slow.

Something to do with caches, or proxy settings and stuff. Google "Chrome slow" perhaps? That's what I'd do Richard

Guest
That's OK Richard She is a bit like me in regard to stuff like pirated DVD's CD's and illeagal downloads as in dead against it, so I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have been uisng Kazar(?sp) or stuff of that ilk. I think I may have identified the source of the problem (see above) as in Virgin. I'm not at home at the mo so can't check for sure till tommorrow. Guest
It's a DNS problem....Virgin are fixing it, allegedly. Roll on next Wednesday when we escape from Virgin broadband. It seems it was - flying again this morning. To be fair to them it's only the second issue I've had with their service since I've been with them. I find it pretty reliable 99.9% of the time. being cable its generally faster too...
