Boat Number Decal

Featured Posts

Hi

I would like to replace the metal plates with the boat number on it with a sticker.

I can find plenty which are black text on a white background but I was wondering if it is possible to get clear ones to give a more painted on effect.

Does anyone know if these are available and if so where from

Thanks in advance

Peter

I would think that anyone who does publicity signs in stick on plastic would make them for you. One in Reading is called Signarama but there are loads doing them for vans etc. They will supply the letters any colours or font you want (well almost) on a shiny paper backing. Methods of application vary so with self adhesive you might just pull a protective film off the letters, carefully place the backing paper an droll down. Then peel the backing paper away. Other types require you to wet the area so you can slide the numbers around before rubbing them fully down.

They will be separate numbers - not number stuck to clear plastic.

As per the above post, any local cut vinal sign makers will do it in any style/colour you wan't and come and do the fit as well. A good alternative to traditional signwriting. Did our boat 4 years ago and not had a problem, and it worked our cheaper too.

I am sure these folks can help:

http://vinylcutgraphics.co.uk/

They did the graphics for our boat and we are very pleased with the service, quality of the graphics and the cost.

Hope all is well with you both and you had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

We're going to try London next year as never been before by boat so should be fun and fingers crossed we will do well :-)

Hopefully see you around again soon and thank you for the above mention.

Take care

Michelle & Will

Hi Keith

Thank you for adding the link in, just to let you know save confusion, the image shown is the ones we do where it is just the lettering left on ie, not on any background, and that's what is currently on our boat now as per the image.

I have pm'd the OP direct with details as I didn't want to seem as if we were self promoting, but thank you for putting the link in, it's much appreciated.

Cheers Will

I used this company Clicky for the boat name, number and lines.

The number is cream and the cabin colour is visible around it.

Hope this helps.

Bob.
