Derek
Thanks Dor, I was wondering when I could put my grubby mits on the list. It seems to get later every year! Derek
Richard Bustens
Will they have to drain the pound to change the lock gates?
Derek
Not necessarily, in some cases they can change top gates by placing stop planks in, but if there are several to do in the flight, they will more than likely drain the whole flight. fender
I presume Richard means Audlem (Hope they dont finish weeks late like they did a few years ago, in that particular situation it was giving three of us winter boaters just one morning to dash up Audlem and Adderley before the latter got closed for a stoppage they'd held over for our passage) Edited August 23, 2005 by fender
matt
From first look I think Clear Water Lock 63 (Trent and Mersey) being closed from 29th August to 1st October - really screws my journey back to Lymm up (we are near Braunston at the moment). And from Friday 16th the summit level will be shut down unless things improve.

"Navigation will not be possible until the fire is made safe and the water levels are restored." Gaggle - dont worry I'm sure there'll be plenty of water at the Liverpool end for you to launch your new boat.
