Mould on fabric blinds

Hi,

 

Any tips on getting rid of mould from fabric blinds? Only a couple of the blinds on my boat have it.

Mildew I believe. If anyone has got out the black stains it leaves I suspect lots of boatists would like to hear how they did it.

Take them off, put in a large tub eg bath already half full of warm water, with dilute bleach Eg egg cup, and some laundry liquid. spoon, leave overnight and use a softish brush. 

Vanish do a spray. It's no good being too aggressive.

Although not so bad as pictured I have washed a blind. The method much as already suggested worked well = a soak with laundry liquid  and warm water.  Gentle soft brushing while in the water may help. 

My blind did emerge a lighter shade of colour , but clean.

I think it was biological laundry liquid.

A soak in a bucket of Milton solution will get that out.

Whilst agreeing with the methods posted above, just wondering if anyone has tried the white vinegar and good wash method? Have always used a variety of the previous posters' suggestions but was told it was an alternative way.
