Hello. I’ve noticed that I’ve got a small crack in my stern gland greaser tube. I was refilling the grease and as I was turning the greaser, I noticed the grease was escaping through a small crack in the tube! Any DIY fixes? Or should I just replace it? If so, any advice on where is best? eBay? Any advice welcome, thanks!

Hi all, I’ve lived on my narrowboat since 2020, I’d like to keep it but possibly move ashore. Has anyone moved from their boat to a static caravan? Any advice or pros and cons? I’d like to keep my boat, and places I’ve looked at are sites with the canal next to the site. Any advice welcome.

My roof needs some TLC, but from the looks of my pictures, do I need to be worried? It mostly, from my untrained eye, looks like the top layer of paint is coming away in areas and the blue fibreglass is exposed. I get worried by little things I guess and blow them out of proportion in my head 🙁

In the meantime before I can get it sorted, is it worth putting gorilla tape over these areas to at least give some protection?

It doesn’t leak, I get the odd drip through condensation but nothing bad like a proper leak

Thanks, I’ll look into that. What would happen if I left it though? Would the fibreglass get damaged?
