Maybe on Irish Ferries but not on Stena Line.

That's interesting and something to look into thank you. 😊

We had a really good trip touring all round Ireland a few years ago, HolyHead to Dun whatever and then clockwise, really excellent. B&B's (good value and never a bad one) good countryside and views, good roads and Western Ireland amazing as was Donegal, did not touch Dublin (ran out of time), Belfast good, Guiness - excellent, Kinsale lovely, try it!. Finished with a couple of nights in the centre......Weather good. Highly Recommended, Followed up the year after with a Trip round Scotland and the Outer Hebrides, Central areas excellent, carry a spare can of fuel though, petrol stations few and far between, again B&B's all good, and on the islands don't forget Sunday Observance, lots of places shut. Good trip. Let me know if you want more info.

We were supposed to be doing the outer hebrides next year but have changed that now. We will be heading to Europe instead.

Bottom left of the map😉

Spain?

That is where we are headed next year.

Pet friendly cabin on Brittany Ferries to Bilbao and a drive through Spain to Andalusia.

It has taken us a little while but we have now managed to come up with a bit of a plan for next years two week trip to Europe.

Not as much driving involved for this one which will give us chance to have a couple of nights in some spots but it will still take in five countries with stays in France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg and a brief drive through the Netherlands.

We are hoping to spend a couple of nights in Brugge, Cologne, Sedan and Dunkirk before heading back under the channel.

Not sorted out where we will stay for a couple of nights on the way back yet in the UK but it will be somewhere along either the A1 or M1 route.

We are skipping out the Friday night stay on the south coast this time and heading under the channel on a late afternoon train. A much as we enjoyed the stay at the Coastguard this year it was the most expensive day of the trip and we felt it didn't really add enough to the holiday to warrant doing it again. We would rather have the extra night in France.

I would happily pay that if the information was available online; paper guides have their place, but are out of date the minute they're printed, and are not as easily searched as a database

Britstops have now gone online for 2024. No book required.
