When Mike H was lock keeper at Sutton's he was given a "Thank you" card from Anne ??  (name I cannot decipher) of NB "Tarnhelm?" in May 1990.

I have checked with Canal Plan and there is no boat of that name registered.

Anyone have any information on the boat or the then owners please?

Ray, I can’t be certain but I recall the name as one of Malcolm Braine’s Boats. Graham Edgson took over in 86 so it would have been built beforehand. I’ll try and contact his son Ian who has t

his archives, he may be able to shed more light.

I do not know the person, but the surname looks like Franz. The individual letters match others in the note, save the 'z', for which there is no comparison - except it's not a 'y'.

Ive just heard from Ian and yes, it is a Braine boat, 62’ and BMC powered. He has a file in the archives if you need any more detail.

We sold the boat over 10 years ago.  The then owner died.  Steve Priest put a new bottom on it.  It was tied for many years on the Staffs and Worcs near the A41 Bridge

You have a pm.

Thank you.
