Heathstone5
Hi there. I’ve just purchased a Lincoln tug hull by Barry Jenkins and would appreciate any information out there as it’s been out the water for 20 years. Maybe Barry would be interested in it’s next chapter of life. It’s in a sad state
Athy
Welcome to the forum. I came fairly close to buying a 41-footer BJ in Burton-on-Trent years ago, attracted by its fine lines which even years of neglect can't obscure. I seem to remember that it had an engine room in which a B.M.C. 1,5 was trying hard to impersonate something more vintage. I look forward to reports of her restoration to (to use an overworked phrase( her former glory.
Bee
Crumbs! looks like it's been buried for 20 years. Underneath that moss there's a nice boat but how do they get like that?
noddyboater
Maybe move this to general boating? Barry did come on here a couple or so years ago to comment on another thread about one of his boats.

harrybsmith
I looked at this nearly a year ago, at the time the price was preposterous and the seller unwavering. My conclusion was that there's no such thing as a Lincoln tug really, but it was a fundamentally decent boat with nice lines, and all the hard to change bits were right. Logistics for moving it must've been interesting, it was in a boggy field in Dorset!
PD1964
Looks a nice shell with all the recessed panels, port holes a bit on the small side, with a good paint job has the potential to look really good. What’s your plans with it?👍
