Cigarette Lighter Lead Powering Laptop 12v to 19v

Does anybody know of a cigarette plugged power lead that will step up 12 volt to 19.5 volt 3A 45W that I could use to run my laptop off the boat 12v supply? I am aware that there are modules that do this but by the time I have put it in a box and then added the wiring it would be bulky. Hope that makes sense.

Loads. Search for car laptop power adaptor. 45W is within the limits of what a fag lighter style 12V socket should  be able to supply without melting.

I use one all the time (on the boat) it was about £10 on ebay.

Use it with my Acer LapTop. (19v)

The main thing you need to find is one with a lead that matches your laptop. eBay sell a lot of "universal" laptop adapters

The most important thing to find out is how thick and what fuse is in the cable to the fag lighter socket.

If the cable is too thin, it doesnt matter what sooperdooper thing you buy says it does, it will be limited by the cable that supplies the socket.....and I have seen these cables melt out before the fuse goes, as someone puts a fuse in to match the device, not the cable capacity....
