Two people can get it out just not me on my own, it has to negotiate the cooker etc. It's a beast. I'm getting a single plus expensive protector, this will give me a bit more space and I can flip it over once a month as recommended.

WOW Mattress Online remove from my room! Too good to be true! UPDATE, I think mattressonline are the same company as Skipton Bed's and Sofa where I bought my mattress, no hassle over removal, or boat! Edited June 4, 2022 by LadyG

Very much depends on who you talk to I think at these places. Think they expect boaters at Middlewich; there is a temporary mooring there for them after all! I went backwards and forwards with armfuls of plastic bottles full of diesel/oil/bilgewater mixes from a couple of leaks and filter changes and all they said was where the oil disposal thing was and boaters were supposed to use the same entrance as cars
LadyG Posted June 7, 2022 Author Report Posted June 7, 2022 Had a response from CRT suggesting I take it to local tip, how I could do that I don't know. I pointed out the CRT do a K&A disposal, at least according to this forum. I kinda understand all this, in fact I'd not want the CRT to run any uneconomic service, I assume they did a cost benefit analysis on the K&A and decided to uplift and dispose, possibly to landfill, eeks
n-baj Posted April 28, 2024 Report Posted April 28, 2024 (edited) FYI it looks like the Middlewich tip is due to close this summer https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/council_and_democracy/council_information/media_hub/media_releases/update-on-household-waste-recycling-centres.aspx BTW a very good tip is in Selby. Just walked across the road with used oil, got told where the tank is and disposed of the oil, no drama needing 2 forms of ID and a car nonsense 😃 Edited April 28, 2024 by n-baj
