WRENBURY TO ELLESMERE PORT TIPS

Anybody got any advice on places that we can stay overnight near to a pub so that we can have an evening meal and a few beers, we intend to travel mid May.

The Barbridge  not far from the junction with the Shroppie, has moorings outside the pub and opposite. Further towards Chester there's the Shady Oak with good moorings opposite. Beyond Chester, not much  but the pub at Stoak is good for food and not far from the canal.

At Wrenbury I can thoroughly recommend The Cotton Arms over the pub immediately by the bridge; good beer and food!

Who’s got the Shady Oak? A couple took it over maybe 3 years ago. I hope they managed to make a go of it, they were good. And were boaters too. 
I spent a few weeks there the summer they opened.
