StephenA
Which way are you proposing to go? Via stoke This is a trip of 70 miles, 5¾ furlongs and 59 locks from Glascote Dock to Venetian Marina. This will take 40 hours which is 5 days, 5 hours at 7 hours per day. Via shroppie This is a trip of 88 miles, 6¼ furlongs and 49 locks from Glascote Dock to Venetian Marina. This will take 43 hours and 34 minutes which is 6 days, 1 hour and 34 minutes at 7 hours per day. You have about 7.5 hours of day light per day
ditchcrawler
You should be OK unless there is an unplaned stoppage, you should clear Harecastle well before Christmas

matty40s
If you are planning the Harecastle/Stoke route, make sure you are aware of the very limited opening times in the Winter, and book well ahead.
Detling
Shroppie locks are nicer than the T&M IMHO.
