A junction on the right - but is it a canal or just an arm.....

I think it is on the Coventry, approaching Marston Junction from Charity Dock.

Going up the Ashby to load? Or Griff, Atherstone wharf or Baddesley basin?

Unfortunately it isn't. That stretch hasn't got houses like that on the left of the original picture, nor has it got a towpath bridge like the one on the right.

Those boats would have worked the Coventry and north Oxford canals regularly though, so it could be somewhere in Warwickshire, but I don't recognise it.
