Water shortage on the Oxford?

MtB

Featured Posts

Just using CanalplanAC and it is warning me this:

Navigation restriction notice: Oxford Canal, Navigation: Open, Towpath: Open
From: Marston Doles Bottom Lock No 15 to Marston Doles Top Lock No 16.

Reservoir holdings in the South Oxford Canal are lower than usual for this time of year. We had a very dry winter and some of the Oxford reservoirs have not shown any refill.

To maximise the available water, the Trust is taking the sensible precaution of locking targeted locks up overnight. The measure is intended to reduce the potential for water losses overnight from the Oxford Summit.

Monday the 7th of October, 2019 to Wednesday the 7th of October, 2020
Information sent Wednesday the 25th of September, 2019

Is this out of date information or are the reservoirs still not brim full?!

I'm going for a typo.  There was a real notice ... 7/10 to 3/11

The summit pound was full and overflowing at the fenny end when we came through 3rd week in October and the restrictions had been lifted then. The reservoirs were not full at the end of October but guess they must be nearly full now with all the rain we have had.......

.......or maybe they have borrowed Rusty's time machine?

What happens is the C&RT send open ended notices and then close them using a different notice ID. Its a sodding pain in the ass

Or in this case, checking the DB they never sent an update after sending the original email on 25th Sept
