curlass24 Posted August 19, 2019 Report Posted August 19, 2019 Hello, Looking for a good freestanding lpg oven for our narrow boat, ideally 50cm wide, any recommendations?
mrsmelly Posted August 19, 2019 Report Posted August 19, 2019 I fitted a Belling FS50GTCL last month, just changed the jets a job a monkey could do. Basic but cracking bit of kit for peanuts. 500 wide 600 deep. Nice glass lid to finish it off.
Keeping Up Posted August 19, 2019 Report Posted August 19, 2019 Are you looking for one with 3 or 4 burners, with or without grill? We have a Cannon Langdale (50cm, oven, grill, 4 burners, glass lid) and have been very happy with it. It does however have a clock/timer which ru s on 240v, as does the ignition, which wouldn't suit everybody.
Paringa Posted August 19, 2019 Report Posted August 19, 2019 I have a Nordmende CTG51LPGWH 50cm Twin Cavity LPG Gas oven. No need to change jets as already set for LPG. It does need mains for the ignition though as above.
curlass24 Posted September 10, 2019 Author Report Posted September 10, 2019 thanks, do you have to get a qualified engineer to install and lpg one, or is it only if their fitting a standard gas one with a conversion kit?

My understanding is that any competent person can for one in a leisure bost, but a GasSafe registered person with the appropriate boat and LPG endorsements must fit it, if it is a liveabord boat.
