Hi, there is either something wrong with your stove or something wrong with the way you are lighting it. Noticeable smoke in the cabin is not good, save for stormy back draughts which is still not good but unavoidable. Edited to add leaking door seals ? Poor flue? A

A mifi on 3 will probably do you fine as you will be spending most of the time on your boat dodging mooring enforcement officers, unless you have a marina berth. A

As recommended above, renew your licence just before you give up your mooring. You can then have the benefit of Home Mooring status while CCing for the next year which should ease you in nicely to full CC status. A

Not always so The nice people in the Inland Waterways Protection Society have relaxed their mooring policy. Make a small donation to the society, fill in a form and it is possible to stay longer. A

Hi, if your newly purchased boat is brand new (or less than 5 years old for a privately built boat) then by law the boat documentation should already be assembled into an Owners Manual as part of the Recreational Craft Directive by the person who built it. A

Hi Pete Think the OP is talking about an expansion tank which you would usually use the cut out pressure not the cut in pressure of the pump to determine the correct pressure Cheers A
