Dear Frank Last weekend my bearded coal man offered me a coffee and then a beer, I fear if I keep taking what's offered my life will spiral out of control and I'll begin to moor overnight on waterpoints and using my center line to tie up. I can say first hand having Delt with this boat A, the hire base doesn't want to know about any claim as its not there boat. They only manage it B, any insurance claim goes through the MOD. you have more chance licking your own tackle than getting a penny I did have a nice letter of apology though

I think that is the case, in the last 2 weeks I've fitted new batts, alternator, solar and lcd ammeter Ect and even with the alternator, within a hour of start up the ammeter is showing a output of around 10a of the engine and the voltage 14v.3 ish. The panels are flat mounted mind

Mine are up and running as a flat unit now, its only a little 200w set up but in 2 days I've collected 50ah! Well chuffed, its frequently hitting the 14.5v cut off too

OOh Bugger, It looks like I'm gonna have to get a new genset, Inverter and charger as there around 2 1/2 years old. Ref the noise output my big deisel gen puts out 82db and that is stupid loud although its only used rarely and when I do i warn people within half mile radius. Ive always found with stuff from china its ok, just dont rely on it for continues service. If you dont like it, you dont have to spout bollocks and rant about it. Just dont buy it
