when the sun out poping along with the old lister brill,when the rain comeing down pushing 8 foot of fresh on the tidal trent i some times and it is only sometimes wish i had a modern engine.

PLeased to report that Emily and crew are now moored next to us in Kings Marina, Newark. I was invited to look at the engine, but the wife says I'm not allowed to have one!

been down this road with my hw2,i woud pm Boldock and have a word with him.

Went past yesterday going downstream, seemed to be plenty of boats there and passed some lovely Norfolk Cruisers etc heading towards there. We would have stayed but needed to be in Nottingham early next week to pick up Whisper generator. Hope you have a good one.

we are doing the Leicester ring at the mo and while coming through the Hilmorton lock i was on the last lock,sitting on the beam talking to the BW lock keeper,wife was on the tiller when the lock was full the chap waiting to go down walk past the BW chap and started to push the gate open from the other bank, not a word did he say to us,now i know some folk are in a rush but to me thats just rude.I looked at the lockie he looked at me and we both smiled and he said just let it wash over you.Strangely if you have a 60foot boat and a 2 cylinder lister you can make it come out of the lock so slowly :lol:

Right looked on youtube at hr2 and hrw2 both look like mine but not the same ,air filter,water tank,side on wich alti is,all right but not dead right.Sitting at whilton untill the 13th then heading for Lincoln.Any one on the way got 5 mins to stick there head in the engine room is more than welcome.Thank you all for your help.this place and the folk's in it are BRILL. thanks again paddy

the only other numbers on the plate are HP 19 R.P.M 1500 as i said before the plate was in a box,I think it was fitted to the water tank as there 2 small fixing that will line up with the holes in the plate.Sorry i'm not much help but everyone has start somewhere.

So how do i tell if its a HR or a HRW sorry to be a pain but the plate with the No was not on the engine but in a box. will soon have to buy a anorak paddy
