  1. Good point that I forgot to mention The marine version has a different ecu To the standard version. Primary reason is that the standard version assumes a vehicle battery is also required for starting so it cuts out at 11.8v DC whereas the marine version doesn't cut out until 10.5v DC. So make sure you get the marine version. I believe the ecu can be swapped out but I also understand that it is an expensive option.
  2. Shouldn't be a problem for you with your background in my case I had tightened a pipe clip too near the end of the pipe so it allowed a slight air leak and stopped a clean start up. Had to be the one which was hardest to see and get to. Once found then had no other real problems. I don't think you , with your experience, should have a problem. EDIT TO ADD I had to source some alternative hose clips as the supplied quality items seemed to be to small. I thought it was me originaly but then I found a post somewhere where a regular installer stated he always replaced the supplied hose clips.
  3. I dreamed of that sort or efficency, lucky to get 2 or 3 days which at todays prices works out at about £14 - £20 a day. Plus, if you are cruising, the extra hassle and expense of locating and traveling to a calor supplier.
  4. Removed my alde, why ? far to expensive to run on 13kg calor Far to many little problems after leaving unused for a while Allowed me to remove some on-board gas connections, the less the better in my book. Battery drainer in winter had to run engine to power it sometimes. A small factor was also that the experienced alde engineer who liked working on boats retired which took a safety net away. Basically I had to many little problems. I have, after a long gap, now fitted a reconditioned Webasto thermotop C which is, after some installation teething problems, very much better. EDIT: MY COMMENTS ARE FOR THE OLDER STYLE TALL 2928 model
  5. Let us know if you fix it ok as I have the same problem and might well have a go a doing it if yours works OK. Thanks
  6. I had on off these for a very short time I thought the wave was to indicate that both they and you, by the grace of god , had survived the last corner.
  7. Pretty much from there southwards, gets progressively worse the further south you go. I do have do have some sympathy with those that find themselves in a housing predicament, certainly not a problem I can fix, my real beef is with those few self appointed individuals who think they control the areas. I pay my licence to CRT and as far as I'm concerned its CRT rules that apply everywhere.
  8. I found the south-east to be an unpleasant place which seems to be under the control of some self elected load mouths who have no allegiance to CRT and who seem to think they control the mooring rights using their own criteria. Sad to see, needs sorting out but I'm not sure if CRT have either the will or resources. Happily this trend has not so far traveled to far North.
  9. Just as an aside It is my understanding that red will always fade irrespective of any preparation. It was suggested to me by Rylards that it wasn't the best choice for the main body colour due to this fading. Certainly no reason not to use it if its limitations are known and it fits in with a repainting schedule.
  10. The only benefit I can see with normal flexible panels is that they can lie flat on the roof, raising them negates this advantage. I use unisolar stick down which have been excellent, hard to get hold of nowadays but some are currently available on ebay. I would snap them up if ivwas you.. you can actually walk on the unipolar although not advisable on a regular basis.
  11. Need to check if this matches yours, if it does then available for £76.51 https://shireshop.co.uk/en-GB/catalog/all/part/3rAF-yy0D-3C0D/shire-shanks-catalogue-dash-panels-electrical-tacho-gauge-rdg20710158
  12. Mine has never worked properly. Asking around a good while ago it appears to of been almost the norm for the older style display, personally I just gave up worrying about it. I'm not sure if the newer style is more reliable or not I would be interested to hear from others on this. This is the panel I have

  20. Just a point of interest the UK 3G shutdown has already started with At&T shutting down in Feb 2022. I understand that 3 mobile may go on until late 2024 although this needs to be verified.
  21. I have 5g and 4g, very rarely get a sustainable 5g connection throughout the system I will stick with 4g for now.
  22. Review here including external antenna type TS-9 https://www.4gltemall.com/blog/tag/huawei-e5785/
  23. Agree with the regulated 12v adapter, unfortunately I purchased mine from Maplins so no longer available. My router is branded by 3 so not sure of the model but it is a Huawei 4/5G with 2 external antenna ports. A external antenna is critical if traveling extensively as it allows the antenna to be outside of the Faraday Cage that is a narrowboat. Not exactly cheap to setup if Router, 12v regulated adapter and external antenna required but a wander round ebay may be worthwhile as the routers tend to be robust and worth buying 2nd hand. I did have a few years just using a dongle, never again.
  24. No I haven't but I appreciate the info.To be honest ive run it on its existing settings for 4 or 5 years and unlikely to be changing them. I only do light use mainly shops and back. If I was to fit a BBS01B then I think I would pay a bit more attention to the settings.
  25. I have the original Bafang BBS01 it well be that this setting may be one of the B enhancements. Superb bit of kit by the way wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, albeit the B version, to anyone. Massive sayings over buying some 250w ebikes, may not be as pretty but much cheaper, proven to be robust, extensive knowledge via forums and readily available spares.
