  1. It's used for two way switching circuits I.e landing light also being controlled from downstairs. I'm sure more qualified people will be along shortly! Regards Dan
  2. I think I am going to go into Auctioneering if they charge 16% buyers' premium! Regards Dan
  3. Hi Carl I believe it was, we sold her to the couple who had it at Runcorn for years but then last year I heard on the grapevine it was down south, could be hearsay but you never know! Regards Dan
  4. Thanks for that Alan, she's a lovely boat, my family raised her in about 1993 when she was sunk at Trent Lock with a section 8, she wasn't in bad nick, a couple of soft bits but was mainly due to water ingress. She had been motorised but both the engine and 'ellum were missing. I remember she had solid oak floors throughout and a brand new morso squirrel still in it's packing case!! Last I heard she was down towards Hemel. Regards Dan
  5. ISTR they converted Barlow's "Hazel" which is still converted somewhere with it's wyvern cabin. Regards Dan
  6. Does anyone know what the current state of "Effingham" is, it seems to have been re-footed looking at the photos, but that is all i can tell!! Regards Dan
  7. Don't worry about it, you're not the first and probably won't be the last!! Regards Dan
  8. Hi Chagall, No worries Lily-Mae and Vikki are both doing well. We're taking her into work to meet everyone today, and for a walk around town!!! Hope you find a sofa!! Regards Dan
  9. We bought one a few weeks ago for home, excellent sofa, we went for a custom sized corner sofa bed. The mattress isn't great on the bed, but the sofa is very comfortable and relatively easy to put together, if not a little daunting but once you suss it out it's fine! Pound for pound they blow other Competitors away, they have a showroom in Uxbridge which you can visit and is worth doing, the staff there are very helpful and can assist with the ordering. Ours took about 3 weeks to arrive but worth the wait! They do, what appears to be a great spare parts service for ANY part which breaks, including the frame work and spare covers. HTH Regards Dan

  16. i'd give effingham a home, as long as i can get it for 25p and half a polo!! But i have to finish Judith Ann first! Regards Dan
  17. Make a fender out of bubble wrap and gaffer tape to put along the side of the boat and stick it to the side with more gaffer. This only works in temperatures under 0 degrees. Be careful not to rip the paint off though, gaffer sticks tight! I learnt this from my friend, Peter Ian staker Regards Dan
  18. There are some interesting boats on there, and i have my eyes on a couple, but i fear, as ever i may be priced out of the market!! Also, By the time VAT, craneage costs, and auctioneer's fees are taken into account, i think i might just be able to scrape about 25p and half a polo together!! Still, if they're willing to give me a boat of my choice, i would gladly oblige. ............. then again, i fear the chances of this are on the low side of zero!!! Regards Dan
  19. Were there any children on the roof?
