  1. 800 listed, i guarantee you there's quite a percentage of those that are already sold. for example one we were going to look at that i know sold on the 1st of Feb is still listed for sale on the duck. that said, boats go up with reputable brokers and are under offer within hours, madness at the minute.
  2. also remember Apollo Duck will show you the price someone is asking for a boat, NOT the price it actually sells for.
  3. i think i've mixed up my floating skips, are you two referring to the one that's a shipping container? Not the pointy, variably-priced one with an outboard, play school windows and shouty lady owner? i'll photoshop me coat...
  4. i did consider giving it that red & gold shoddy paintjob, but as i was too lazy to even do the reflection a full re-paint was off the cards
  5. @doratheexplorer & @Jim Riley i've made it a bit more boat related for you, but i did leave the free advertising on the side

I've eaten inkcaps in the past, although i've not seen any for years. Never heard of the alcohol advisory though, what's the risk might i ask??? genuinely intrigued
  7. a couple of years back, Network Rail spent a lot of time and money schwacking all the trees either side of the line for a good few metres back on the line from Standedge Tunnel down the valley (possibly to do with that electrification white elephant). currently they are back having to pile loads of the now exposed banking that's subsiding. coincidence?
  8. My mistake then, it's just the wording that threw me off "...me and my best friend Jack are working on a new channel..." makes it sound like it's you posting on behalf of the two of you.
  9. i take it this other channel didn’t work out then? if it was you running that account, best get Admin to delete as multiples are not allowed. good luck with your current venture, hope it works out for you
  10. have you considered doing the steering yourself and letting your significant other do the lock working?

possibly too late? everything seemed to peak early this year, loads of blackberries, sloes, damsons, bullace, crab apples etc. in July/August. plus lots more folk out and about picking it all clean.

  15. don't ever show your face in Yorkshire, those things are blasphemy.
  16. i thought we'd established from post #34 that it wasn't the mythical vandals? but i suspect your insurance idea isn't far off the mark
  17. so it can tell me where i put my original pair of reading glasses that vanished?
  18. not knowing the whole backstory here, what does he win at the end?
  19. but is a conference not usually something that goes on over several days? otherwise its just a meeting
  20. both rubbish bits of business jargon to make something seem more exciting/impressive than it actually is it's a video call
  21. a cynical person might think it was closure by way of the side door. you plan a maintenance shutdown and close it, first assessment reveals problem was bigger than first thought, it will now cost X more millions and we just don’t have the money, stays disabled and closed as a lift but open as a museum piece for the public to look at with nice videos of how it used to work. job done.
