  1. Indeed, but this was the first lockdown, which was a true lockdown - things were clearer back then and far less traffic. You can be driving around for a multitude of reasons now ...
  2. But with the tiers going forward there are no large borders like this (applies to whole UK) - lots of segmented sections throughout the country - not easy to police. If you're going about your business and keeping to guidelines I can't believe the police will be interested.
  3. Do you think the Police are that bothered? Enough to stop people?
  4. I think going down the compulsory route would be a mistake at this time, being so close to a vaccine. Enforcing travel restrictions with the police (roadblocks/checkpoints etc) will be too much for most to take and I don't think the Police themselves have any interest in arresting citizens for moving about in their own country.... I think 'being frowned' upon is enough for most - bit like smoking...
  5. This wont and can't be enforced by the police - this is all by consent hence why the wording is 'asking' rather than stating.

  7. Just say 'on business' in the unlikely event of being asked....

  9. Arctic blast on its way apparently, so those not 'winterised' might want to consider?

  13. what about turning your boat around, would that improve it? just thinking of ways without any cost...
  14. Wouldn't it be cheaper to move back to where you had good Wi-Fi? Maybe if you spoke to the Marina to alert them of the deadspot they might help as presume the the WiFi is part of the service you're paying for?
  15. if you pop your phone onto the wifi and step outside can it pickup the wifi ok? just seeing if there is wifi to be had.....

  19. its not uncommon to ban PDF's on forums as PDF's often contain copyright material... it is annoying though...
  20. Is this just polystyrene sheets that cause this or does it apply to spray foam too?
  21. I've just enquired and as long its to winterise/check the boat they will allow access to your boat.
  22. I use Amazon Blink XT2 cameras - they can sense movement and send alerts to an app on your phone so could be used for security. Plus you get a live view of your boat - i have one inside looking through the boat and one outside on the roof so i can see how nice it is there!. They record and alert temperature thresholds as well which i find useful. Just need to connect to wifi so Marina one or your own MiFi etc will do... the cameras themselves run off AA batteries and oddly these last ages - not replaced yet after 12 months...... would recommend.
  23. I think the 2050 entry might need adjusting unless we are having a complete change of direction...
