  1. Here you go: https://www.grippatank.co.uk/140-litre-upright-water-tank
  2. Yes, 2 x 120 litres, connected at the bottom so they fill equally. I'll dig out the suppliers name for you tomorrow.
  3. Your tank looks just like mine did. I bought some plastic tanks that just fitted through the foredeck hatch, and now I've got 240L of onboard water I can drink, rather than 1000L of water I wouldn't wash my car with.
  4. Yes it is quite remote - the Middle Level and Great Ouse network have many miles of straight wateways with high flood banks so the surrounding countryside isn't visible. There is a good chance you will not find a mooring space in some areas - not that you will be competing with hundreds of boats, but the moorings are usually quite short.
  5. A few hours navigating followed by a little fishing makes me doubly happy.
  6. Wellbeing is a proven benefit of being near water, so that's good, but the millions who benefit are "visitors". The "customers" are the boaters that pay licence fees I would have thought.
  7. Obviously not yet open but this place has it's own mooring deck, and is excellent. Upstairs is a restaurant, downstairs is a real-ale bar. https://www.charters-bar.com/
  8. This thread started with a glimmer of positivism.... *sigh*
  9. From: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/environment-agency-waterways-coronavirus-covid-19-update/environment-agency-waterways-coronavirus-covid-19-update-5-march-2021 8 March: Stay local (stay in the village, town or part of the city where you live) 29 March: Minimise travel
  10. My friends fathers were charged and batonned by Met Police on horseback at Orgreave.
  11. C200 here too. Electric flush is a doddle to fit and is well worth it - never unable to flush in the middle of the night! Then just have lots of spare cassettes...
  12. People I know who have navigated the Cam say it's nothing special, and as you say, there's nowhere to moor. I can recommend hiring a punt for a few hours though ?
  13. Not surprising https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge-news/the-river-cam-suffering-heading-17214128
  14. Exactly my understanding too. Why are RCR, British Marine, etc, etc interpreting it differently???
  15. It's not a case of it wanting to apply or not - it's a case of not wanting to break the law. The Canaboat magazine article suggests the authorities have agreed a boat owner can go and check the boat is safe, because if they don't their insurance may be void in the case of a claim. CRT is now very vague on this, EA have completely removed the section on when visiting is legal from their latest statement, and now it seems British Marine say boating is all legal from 8th March (although their attached table doesn't say so).
  16. Nice - an article with real evidence for what's allowed. The table said from 8 March private boating is allowed for "open air" boats, so I guess that means rowing, canoes, and sailing boats...
  17. If MLC are going to be as good checking licences as they were moving that tug from the mooring in March (by the park), no pass at all is the most economical option ?
  18. Still a 2-day pass-through Anglian pass for me then
