Not the same boiler but my alde didn't heat up any hot water yesterday evening despite boiler being on. The pump wasn't spinning. This was due to the room thermostat being set too low. Once the thermostat was turned up hey presto, pump spins and water heats up.

Definitely do able. Just take time and don't rush and as has been said , survey us a must. Happy hunting.

We have only run our zcw1301w on shore power but occasionally it doesn't rinse and spin , but does so when reset to rinse and spin. .

We bought a small zanusi. Wasnt cheap but does the job well.

It definitely looks like its been melted externally rather than from within. That would be some seriously hot cable to do damage like that.

Thanks guys , will just run as needed and see how long gas bottles last. Will be fitting a stove in before winter so it will just be for hot water.

Having read that the alde boiler is quite heavy on gas when running radiators on a boat, I was wondering how much gas it will use just heating hot water. Once up to temp is it still a gas guzzler. I have just moved aboard and any info would be appreciated.

I had the same feeling last week when I picked my boat up. Not helped by a brisk wind and ending up facing the wrong way when reversing off mooring at sawley marina.
