  1. The problem for us is that we are on our home mooring and therefore not allowed to move, so apart from a trip to the shop and walking the dogs we are sat inside for 22hours a day. If the towpath wasn't busy we could sit outside.
  2. Towpath use should be limited, the advice is to avoid stretches of towpath with moored boats. It's not about NIMBYism , 900 people a day is excessive and it shouldn't be allowed to happen. I appreciate that Joe Public might not be aware of this advice, but CRT should be making people aware.
  3. Going by road is not quite the same as having to get there by boat is it.
  4. Did a quick count today and 90 people walked past my boat today in one hour, it wasn't even a particularly busy hour. The busiest times are between 9 and 5 so possibly between 8-900 people a day walking past my boat. Never, in the 4 years that I have moored here has it been any where near as busy as this, it is driving me nuts. And the amount of tossers that are not picking up their dogs mess is ridiculous.
  5. I replaced one of my windows with polycarbonate sheet whilst I sourced a sheet of glass, two years later the polycarb sheet is still doing a great job.
  6. Some pictures would help people give relevent advice.
  7. Looks like a run of silicone would solve the issue , or am I missing something .
  8. Yes, I havecan old Acer laptop that runs windows 10, with the old hard drive replaced with a solid state drive, it works ok.
  9. I was led to believe that mixing blue anti freeze and pink causes it to coagulate.
  10. Do you have any official source to this statement.
  11. My postal address is not my boat, my home is my boat. I have never lived at my postal address, would that be my primary residence and my boat my holiday home ?
  12. Extremely...
  13. He is the man..the boiler man.?
  14. Quick update, since the weekend I have been running the boiler on a lower setting and have had no problems since. MTB was probably spot on with his diagnosis.
  15. I don't have a problem with peeps who are out legitimately, no matter how many there are but when I see folks walking the same dog three times a day, people sitting in groups chilling out in the sun , people fishing on the towpath it's quite clear that some are not taking it as seriously as they should, you only have to look around you to see what's happening.
  16. Yes, when I moored there I was probably the only boat with a licence.
  17. Oh ok, must have mis interpreted his post. Just read it again and you are correct.
  18. Boats on Proctors Park in Barrow upon soar are not required to be licenced as they are not on the main river.
  19. What is wrong with people, it is a joke to some. Absolute morons.
  20. I am not exaggerating, it's like living in the middle of Tesco on the towpath here, there are people out taking the Mickey, having picnics and chilling out all over the place. I am sat in my boat, 22 out of 24 hrs, only leaving it to shop or walk the dogs. It's people flouting the rules which means we will all have to stay indoors longer. Are you one of the picnic brigade that think this is all a joke?
  21. Looks like he was carrying his tank on his midriff.
  22. There is no lockdown, more people walking past our boat than ever, groups of people, same dogwalkers two or three times a day , a thousand people a day are dying and idiots just carry on as normal. Until excersise is banned then this will continue.
  23. Duck in full flight yesterday near Sileby Mill. Dog in full shake.
