  2. CRT advice is to avoid using towpath where there are moored boats, I think it's pefectly reasonable to expect Joe Public not to be hugging your boat.
  3. Should move directly outside their house, burn dogshit in your stove and run a generator until midnight. Only joking, but why do people have to cause other people so much trouble, boaters should expect people to leave at least 2 m between themselves and boats.
  4. I changed the fuel filter on my engine today, a job I have been putting off for a while as I had been led to believe that the Perkins 4107 is a bugger to bleed. Had no problems, all running as it should. Happy days.
  5. The wheels do reduce the capacity though.

  14. Yes, totally agree, I am furloughed until the end of June, it would be lovely to untie and go out until then.
  15. I need to give the towpath walkers a pat on the back. They are keeping me out of trouble. You are now allowed to stop and rest for a while whilst out exercising so unlikely to be arrested for sitting on a park bench or sitting down in a field.
  16. Maybe I am missing something here but doesn't this state that towpath use should be limited and to avoid walking past moored boats, can somebody with a higher intelligence than me please tell me what I am missing here as I must be missing something.
  17. You don't live on your boat do you? You have a nice quiet garden don't you? I can't even empty my toilet until evening as I am constantly dodging people.
  18. I have no option to move as I am on my home mooring, and moving is not allowed. Under normal circumstances it is fairly quiet but as soon as the restrictions are relaxed we will find somewhere to moor which is quieter.
  19. The problem for us is that we are on our home mooring and therefore not allowed to move, so apart from a trip to the shop and walking the dogs we are sat inside for 22hours a day. If the towpath wasn't busy we could sit outside.
  20. Towpath use should be limited, the advice is to avoid stretches of towpath with moored boats. It's not about NIMBYism , 900 people a day is excessive and it shouldn't be allowed to happen. I appreciate that Joe Public might not be aware of this advice, but CRT should be making people aware.
  21. Going by road is not quite the same as having to get there by boat is it.
  22. Did a quick count today and 90 people walked past my boat today in one hour, it wasn't even a particularly busy hour. The busiest times are between 9 and 5 so possibly between 8-900 people a day walking past my boat. Never, in the 4 years that I have moored here has it been any where near as busy as this, it is driving me nuts. And the amount of tossers that are not picking up their dogs mess is ridiculous.
