  1. Great thanks. I have a copy of this book somewhere, but I've not been able to place it for a long while.
  2. Hi All, At some point in the near future I'd like to fit out the fore cabin of Lamprey. At present it is empty and just has a small pot belly stove, which has never been used. I was wondering if anyone has any photographs or plans of fore cabin fit outs? I vaugly recall seeing something a while ago, but can't remember where. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. Sarah
  3. Dave, I've had both doubles and singles from the 1941 MKV1 bags. I have a batch of bags at home, neither the bags or clips are of a consistant design.
  4. It can't of been that exclusive - they invited me!! :-) Some lovely photos of Lamprey, thanks for sharing them.
  5. I did the brochure last week for a boat which had a folding bed, you can find the photos here: Linky to Rugby Boats Website.
  6. I set it up so perfectly for you too...
  7. Noooo...she's still young free and single.

  9. I'd be disapointed if it was in anything other than an authentic Alvechurch Livery.
  10. I think I'll pass. However, you're more than welcome to come boating on Lamprey.
  11. We met him midway up Atherstone yesterday, I was hanging back waiting for Empress to go through the lock and the Rev was leaving the lock, he rather un-politely told me to get out of his way. He then breasted the boats up and tied directly opposite the Marina, which we all thought to be quite odd. The wait for the lock was made less boring whilst we watched the performance going on as he barked orders at the crew.

  17. These are the type of figures you get when you run a group and delete all those people you have a disagreement with from it...
  18. Roger, there is a link. I know the details but I'm just hesitant to post names, jobs and the like on a public forum.
  19. Send me an e-mail (my address is on the website) and I'll send them over. Spot on
  20. I've got a few photos at home of Tesla after she was first painted at Norton Canes, let me know if you would like a copy. They were on the website but I had a bit of a database problem a few months ago and I had to reset everything. Luckily they are all backed up, it's just a matter of having the time to put them back. IIRC the portrait of Tesla was painted by Richard Corbett who is now based at Great Haywood Marina. I also remember her being on the cover of Waterways World a couple of years ago when she was moored at Thrupp, I think it was a December/January edition.
  21. I don't know about Ike's daughter, but I did meet a lovely lady at Braunston last year called Sophie Scragg, she was brought up on Ling. She was there along with her carer, who was showing me a photograph of Sophie aboard Ling at Broad Street Depot which is in the book 'Narrow Boat Painting' by Tony Lewery.
  22. The best historic boats tend to get snapped up before they are advertised. Talk to the right people and keep your ear to the ground...
