  1. To be fair, I think some of the flack Laurence is getting on this thread is a bit unfair. I'm sure there are a great deal of people (myself included) who are grateful to him for making these drawings available to everyone through ebay and his website.
  2. Good idea! Although I'm big enough to take the stick you give me.
  3. Dave, I think we should get rid of the bow fender on Ressy, look how good it looks without... Then again, it looks bloody good with it too.
  4. Awesome, into canals and Villa, makes you pretty cool in my books! I'm sure Andy will have a different opinion, although he seems to be keeping a low profile since the Baggies game. Up the Villa!
  5. Oooo...you're good. I'd rather go with victory over Chelsea on Sunday, we're already 3-1 up in the Litex Lovech tie.
  6. Saw a semi trad with a ski slope like that on the Wyrley and Essington last week, cant remember the colour, name or anything, just remember that it had a ski slope and a semi trad. Might be a bit of a long shot...
  7. I remember once a company sending us some promotional pens, they spelt it "Norton Cranes" too.
  8. Why feel the need to judge my opinions? Why not make your own list?
  9. I'd go with... Norton Canes, Brinklow, Dave Harris and Ian Kemp.
  10. Thanks Andy!!! Seen that boat somewhere before, Dave... You can never get enough Ressy pics.
  11. There isn't any money owing to us on Apache, but there is to others. We haven't been paid for the significant restoration works to Barnet.
  12. I know of creditors who have contacted the Liquidators asking if they could have details about possibly purchasing the boat, and none have them have received any information about the sale of it. Also nobody is picking up on the fact that the purchaser is a close friend of Mr. Rimmers. All the creditors I have spoke to are very anoyed, espcially as the sale of this boat could have gone quite a long way to repaying some of the debts, £16,000 will just about cover the liquidators fee. The liquidators know the value of the boat, I've seen the mortgage details that they have sent out which has a clear value. I have also found out that Apache was removed from Blue Haven Marine, where it was to be fitted out, a week before Challenger went bust. It was then moved to another boatyard, owned by the friend of Mr. Rimmers who has now purchased the boat. Does this look like a £16,000 boat to you?
  13. It's obvious that £16,000 is not the boats true market value! How can a nearly boat that has had £70,000 + spent on it be worth £16,000?? A Gardner 2LW will set you back about £12,000, you can add another £3-4 k for fitting it, then theres a £7k paint job, a shell which will be around £35,000, with steel prices today you would pay even more. The back cabin, sprayfoaming, etc. The list goes on. I have no doubts in my mind there is something dodgy about this deal, how come none of the creditors knew about this auction? How come nobody on the internet has mentioned it. And why was it was sold to someone who has very close connections to Mr. Rimmer?
  14. The boat has to be worth around £70,000. It's a very disirable boat, 70ft tug style, which has a back cabin and engine room, the rest of the boat is yet to be fitted and is in "sailaway" form. Also a full paint job and the Gardner 2LW is installed.
  15. Hey up Dave, Here's a piccy of one of my sets of singles...and you can also see a double in the top left of the pic, still attached to a strap, which hasn't been cleaned yet. Would bring them round for you to clean on your mop, but I don't have a death wish. Sarah Edited to add: Dave, if you want me to post a pic of your windlass e-mail me over a pic. Ta!
  16. Hi Richard, Your cruise diary makes great reading, especially as I know some of the areas very well. It was good to meet you both at Norton Canes, even thought the weather was so bad. I actually saw you pass our house on tuesday on your way from Norton Canes to Anglesea Basin, then again on Wednesday morning. It's not very often we get passing boats, one or two a day if we are lucky.
  17. I'll look out for you! On the W&E there is a Tesco next to the canal at Brownhills, you could moor here overnight, or moor at Pelsall Common where there is a pub called the Fingerpost. There are also some BW moorings at Sneyd which are quite safe.
  18. Ash? It had a new bottom a few years back, still at Norton Canes. The rusty one on the outside:
