  1. You too would be saying all other fans are crap if the manufacturer had sent you one of these for free. This is the Vlogger that whinges they had no money and ended up with a new boat, new solar system, new fire and a £200+ fan on top.
  2. You can tell he’s a plonker as he mentions several time’s that “Del Boy”Derek’s idea is ingenious. Most would disagree. Is this a typical example of a London Boater, staying put for a few weeks grinding, filling, blackening on what looks like a busy Towpath? Plonker. What about all the crap that will end up in the canal during this process? Boaters like this are irresponsible Idiots and that’s putting it politely.
  3. Another 2bob millionaire on the canal, buy a cheap boat move onto the canal and don’t have the money to do the boat up. Just look at the state of the boat, you know all he’s going to do is make a mess on and of the towpath. Why not just hire a dry dock for a week and do the job properly? Because I have no money and I’m just going to grind and paint here on the towpath, I bet it’s somewhere around London and he’s a CCer that stays put more then he CC’s.
  4. Most 60x12’s rarely leave the Marina’s. If your CCing and moving a lot, they’re not the easiest to move and find moorings. It’s all down to how the interior space is used to how spacious it feels. You can have the wow factor or a practical boat. No point in buying new if your a novice as you may not like it and you’ve wasted a lot of money. There’s a lot who have done that, so there are decent widebeams on the market if you look that can offer huge savings on new.
  5. You can’t get a 62ft to Sheffield. I wouldn’t go above 60ft and 12ft maybe a push on some canals. Also consider your rear stern style especially on the shorter lock canals, as you could struggle closing the gates behind you with a square Euro-cruiser style stern. You might think you need the maximum size boat, but a lot of the time that does not turn out to be the right decision especially if you want to cruise in it.
  6. I wonder where it’s going to be unloaded at Dewsbury? As I can’t see big gravel barges getting that way especially anything near 400 tonne. Last time they ran they were loaded at Fairies Hill causing underwater sand banks which caught many a boater out if they didn’t know the area. Then they ran to Google through the big locks. With the size of the locks to Dewsbury I just can’t see it that way.
  7. Was highlighted on this Vlog, they were going at speed too. If you don’t want to watch all skip to 4:30
  8. If you need to move in ice I would not recommend this technique. Can’t really see what use it’s doing apart from risking getting a barge pole in the face if it hits anything substantial(log, shopping trolley ?)
  9. Just had a BSS done on a boat by a surveyor and he didn’t want anyone on the boat 48hrs prior, due to Covid-19 precautions. I would find out who is surveying the boat and find out his requirements first hand regarding Covid-19.
  10. It looks like the main gas pipe into the boat coming from the duel regulator into what looks like a bubble tester then into the boat.
  11. I would say a way over priced boat and probably owned by an elderly couple living in the Marina. Why would you turn your well deck into a dodgy gas locker? NB DW look elsewhere far better boats out there in this price range with nice well deck seating areas and front doors.
  12. Maybe a modern twist on traditional boat woman’s dress ?? As seen them out on Copperkins a few times and always wonder.
  13. Can I ask why does your wife always dress in that attire (bonnet, shirt/blouse, skirt) when your on the boat, as every time I see you I wonder?
  14. You know what everyone is going to ask Why? I see it’s for sale, so I take it your interested in buying, no luck contacting the seller via the Ad on Apolloduck? https://narrowboats.apolloduck.co.uk/boat/soar-valley-57-semi-trad-for-sale/653855
  15. Probably, last time I heard anything about it was after the survey last year then it went off to either Harkers/Knottingley or Castleford for work. Yes that was what I was hoping as I know the survey didn’t go too well at Stannilands. Good luck.
  16. Did you have a pre purchase survey? If this is the Keel I think it is, it was at Google for years and was for sale for a while.
  17. What I’ve seen lately is CaRT auctioning moorings a bit less and just advertising them with a fixed price. It seams to vary in parts of the country.
  18. Being a CaRT mooring you would be better off talking direct to your local moorings officer. It’s an awkward one as, what’s to you keeping the mooring in your name and she lives on the boat? I know this is not the legal solution.
  19. I think most people on here would help you if they were on their boat next to you. It’s only the boat less Trolls on here that wouldn’t help because they know nothing about boats or living on the canal.
  20. The thread was dying off until the Foxes complained and once again until you started going on about hateful, bullying and offensive historical comparisons. I found this sentence of yours to be the most offensive on the whole thread “The same fundamental mentality that blamed the Jews for everything and had them gassed” Hate is a powerful word, no one on here hates them, I started the thread and as I’ve said I have nothing against them personally and bare them no harm, for they have done good things with charities and mental health issues. My issue was moving in Tier4 and moving in lockdown. It has obviously made them realise that not all approve of their actions. As now they are putting out all the bumf about Essential Traval and permissions to move on their Vlogs and posts and also saying on Twitter they have not moved since the 17th of December. They must realise if the Foxes are going to make their lives so public they can’t “Have their cake and eat it, too” and having criticism and accepting other people’s opinions of them is part of it. They’ve got the means to remove all the negative comments on their Social Media Platforms, however on here they can’t and must realise they can’t influence/bully the Admin Staff into removing and closing down those Threads/Posts they don’t like.
  21. That’s a shame as it looks like he had an opinion of you.
  22. Can you put the link to this on, as can’t find it on their recent Facebook, unless it was last Mays Lockdown?
