Does anyone know if there are any moorings around the space centre in Leicester? Can that bit of water infront to of the space centre be explored safely. It looks like it goes through the park.

Has anyone spotted the water point Ally mentioned?

Not a bad idea to divert up the arms. Not been up them before. The ashby might be too much of a rush and would like to enjoy it when I get a bit more time to do it.

I'm after some advice on where to take a trip out for a fortnight. I'm currently in Barrow upon Soar and know that I want to go south through Foxton. (been th other way too many times and fancy a change). Where do you guys recommend? I'd appreciate recommendations for Biringham or where in the GU could possibly visit. Thanks in advance

This ones is on a lovely part of the Wisey and the mooring are very presentable. It seems a waste to moor at grange farm and to have to move your boat to sleep on it. Missing on all the convienient benefits.

To my amazement this week when enquiring for a mooring in Stoke ferry, they told me that they had no moorings available which was fine. Them the nice lady told me that if I was to have a mooring there, like everyone else I could not stay on the boat, not at weekends, nor for a random odd day. Is this common practice or is it a tactical way of saying we don't like the look of u so we don't want u mooring there?

Thanks for all the replies. I've arranged a compression test to be carried out. Also how can I check that the injectors are serviceable? It is this a specialist job? Also to add a little more confusion. The glow plugs are fatter than the common 11/64 job. Calcutt tell me this is a latter mid? I'm not sure.

Thanks tony. I think they are 1.8 plugs . Don't know the complete history of the engine but it sys thornycroft( doesn't mean anything though)The pump is as u look at the engine with air filter and exhaust being the rear. It is on the front low down under 1 and 2 injector and to the left of the oiler filter. Above the starter motor. Is it worth me buying a compression tester, the with my findings maybe take the injectors in?

Saw u pass me at zouch today. Very nice boat. If I pass u in the week and moor nearby u can charge your stuff on my boat. (If you don't think that doesn't sound wierd)

My 1.5 is struggling to start. Glow plugs are all fine. And I've tightened up all fuel joints. Big puffs of white smoke as it turns over. It all bleeds o.k on every filter change. Just changed them again at the weekend and the fuel looks fine. I am wondering if anyone's injector pump shows a small amount of diesel on them. Mine does but It always has. I never bled the top screw on it as I've sheared it in the past with barely any force. Is this where air is getting in? Or is this quite normal.? I'm very light handed in this area. I apologise for no picture to help and would appreciate any advice and pictures. Thanks

I put a hot water bottle to bed a hour before going to sleep. It takes the chill off when getting into bed. Another thing. I sometime fail to light our fire and have found my self slowly getting addicted to using fire lighters to guarantee I get the fire going well. I hate it when I have a pile of black kindling that almost took and I have to start again.
